The Woolwich Ferry, London - My Free Trips, Crossing the Thames by Ferry & Foot!

If you're in London and you want something to do which isn't going to cost you, well, any money at all, try this - the FREE Woolwich Ferry.

This ferry runs between North Woolwich and Old Woolwich transporting vehicles and foot passengers on a roughly 10 minute journey across the Thames. I'll show you both terminals, the onboard facilities (there aren't any) and I'll tell you a bit about the history of the service and the vessels currently in operation.

In a bonus segment at the end of the crossing, we will return to North Woolwich but we'll be doing that by foot. I'm sure you can work out how!
