Talbot Road Regeneration Blackpool,& tram tracks ?

Work started in October 2012, on the regeneration of Talbot Road Blackpool and the building of The Central Business District. along side the North Railway Station. The old Talbot Road Bus Station, opened in 1938 will be refurbished and used as a mulit storey car park and reopen in 2013
The construction a partnership between Muse Devlopments and Blackpool Council, will take around two years to complete ,employing some 300 construction workers on site
A new 60,000 sqr ft Sainsburys supermarket will be built along with parking for 600 cars and around 400 new jobs being created, 70% of them full time..should open in 2013. 0ther private office space ,a Hotel, shops, cafe and restaurant all set within open spaces was also planned for the site.
It was hoped for tram tracks to be extended up along Talbot Road from the sea front to the new Business District and Railway Station,.but now.It seems we may never see this happen due to the lack of money,so for now it remains a dream. well at least work has started , what we end up with remains to be seen
