RV-10 Build Log - Emp 29 - Finally riveted the trailing edge!

Описание к видео RV-10 Build Log - Emp 29 - Finally riveted the trailing edge!

Riveted rudder trailing edge. Method used was to backrivet against back rivet plate, using thin carpet as a spacer, and a narrow flat rivet set in the pneumatic gun. Started in the center and moved toward each end, skipping every eight holes, then doing the rivets in between, then the ones in between that. Once it was every other hole, flipped the rudder over and riveted the rest, so that the end result was that every other rivet had the shop head on the opposite side. End results were good, with minimal deformity around the rivets. There is some slight deformation of skin revealed in reflected light, possibly caused by too much tank sealant or just over riveting. Rudder TE is straight to within about 1/20th of an inch over the full length of the TE.
