Radical Trust: How to Energise your True Self

This is an audio recording of a sermon I shared with the congregations at Braemar and Crathie, in Royal Deeside, on Sunday February 25th, 2024. It is based on Mark 8:31-38, the gospel reading set for the second Sunday in Lent, year B. To interpret it I am indebted to Neil Douglas-Klotz's work on the Aramaic Jesus based on the gospel documents in Aramaic, the language that Jesus spoke. I studied in a group he was teaching for four years, and that included people of all three Abrahamic Faiths. Besides being an academic whose expertise is the hermeneutics of ancient Near East Semitic languages, he is a practicing Sufi with a Christian background. My sermon is also based on the Process Enneagram, an ancient symbol of three cosmic laws that govern how anything in the universe emerges, is related and evolves. So, though I do not name it as such, the cycle of life I talk about is governed by the law of seven and the law of three (that I do mention). This is the Enneagram that Gurdjieff introduced to the Western world, and about which I teach in my Fourth Way Enneagram Course (See EICSP website and link in comment).
