In this lesson, you will learn how to add a negative number to a positive number. This is called adding integers, and is a central concept to master in pre-algebra and algebra. When we add two positive integers, the result is always possible. When we add two negative numbers, and result is always negative. If we add integers of different signs, then the answer can be either positive or negative and it depends on the absolute value of the numbers you are adding.
