Respiratory Decisions in ALS

Whenever possible, it is recommended for ALS professionals to be present when people and families fighting the disease view the videos. This will allow the families to ask questions about their individual circumstances. It is also recommended that ALS professionals consider each person's stage of progression to gauge the most appropriate time to view each video.

A series of three educational videos, developed through a collaboration with The Forbes Norris ALS Research and Treatment Center and The Les Turner Foundation, guides people and families through the process of evaluating and making important decisions about respiratory care as the disease progresses. These videos are also an excellent resource for medical professionals who are less familiar with ALS, the disease progression and the available care options.

This video series hopes to help with those important questions about respiratory care decisions throughout the course of a person's journey with ALS. The segments are designed to be viewed separately.
