Caddx Walksnail Goggles X - Analog input problem

I've found an issue with my Goggles X that hasnt been covered in any of the review videos yet (I think Joshua Bardwell had the same issue, but he took down his video).

I am on the latest firmware on the goggles - 36.42.4. I am using an Eachine Pro58 receiver through a URUAV DJI Analog adapter, which has additional output pads so i can connect the output to my ImmersionRC PowerPlay module as well as the goggles.

The goggles are replacing a low/incomplete signal with a fake digital snow, which is the same as the old monitors people used when this hobby was first becoming popular, that used to show a blue screen in those situations. These days most FPV monitors (and all goggles) have an advertising point "No blue screen" to indicate they dont have this problem. Unfortunately the Goggles X do.
