In this clip, Teddy Atlas discussed rumors about Cus D'Amato's personal life. Teddy dismissed speculation about D'Amato's sexuality, noting: "He was a man's man" and saying he had no knowledge of any truth to rumors that he was gay. Instead, Teddy painted a picture of a deeply committed man who never married or had children, as he felt it would be unfair to devote his attention from away his real love, boxing. Teddy emphasized that as D'Amato aged, his focus turned to his legacy and that he wanted to be remembered for nurturing the best heavyweight champions of all time. Teddy added that D'Amato achieved this goal before his death, training fighters such as the youngest heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson.
