On October 7th, 1985, Julia McKenna was found wandering close to the Salisbury Woods of New Hampshire disoriented, hypothermic, and severely malnourished.

She was taken to Concord Hospital where she refused a doctor’s examination. During her time there, she shifted between full coherency and psychotic episodes. She was adamant it was still 1985 and got hysterical when a nurse told her it was now 1988.
