, भारत सरकारच्या पदमश्री ' किताबाने सन्मानित. 1973 मध्ये यवतमाळ येथे झालेल्या अ. भा. मराठी साहित्य संमेलनाचे अध्यक्षपद . मराठमोळ्या जीवनाचे विविधरंग चित्रण.उत्कृष्ट भावनाशीलता, प्रसन्न रसाळ नाट्यपूर्ण शैली ही लेखन वैशिष्ट्ये.
खालील उताऱ्यात औंध संस्थानाचे भवानराव पंतप्रतिनिधी यांचे मनोरम व्यक्तिरेखाटन लेखकाने केले आहे. शिक्षण, व्यायाम, उद्यमशीलता यांचा बद्दलचा आग्रह प्रजेवर पुत्रवत प्रेम करण्याची वृत्ती इ. स्वभाववैशिष्ट्यांमुळे या पाठातील राजाचे आदर्श रूप आपल्या मनात ठसते.
