In this episode of small town tours, we take you on a walk through Bear River State Park as well as interesting sites in and around historic downtown Evanston. We explore an old train yard that is being restored including a large round-house (originally constructed in 1871), just like the ones you may have watched with your kids in episodes of Thomas the Train. There's plenty of history here including the fact that Evanston came into existence as part of the First Transcontinental Railroad. We hope you enjoy this adventure!
