1962 Fender Tweed Champ- the best kept secret of the recording studio?

Описание к видео 1962 Fender Tweed Champ- the best kept secret of the recording studio?

Today I'm demoing my original 1962 F51 Fender Narrow Panel Tweed Champ amp. It has a replacement Weber Alnico Blue Pup 8" speaker, because of some tearing on the original Oxford 8EV.

Champs have been used in the recording studio by the likes of Keith Richards, Joe Walsh, Slash, Joe Perry, Billy Gibbons, and Eric Clapton on his magnum opus Layla. It is so simple yet so effective!

With one turn of the knob, you can go from spanky clean to edge of breakup. Dime it to 12 and recreate Neil Young or Exile on Main Street tones!

I'll be using several different guitars, and a treble boost pedal to see how many different sounds this amp can reveal. Then I will bypass the 8" speaker and see what the F51 circuit sounds like into a 2x12" ceramic speaker 1965 Fender cab
