Toccata & Fugue in D minor for Organ by J.S. Bach

Описание к видео Toccata & Fugue in D minor for Organ by J.S. Bach

This is the most famous of the Bach Toccata & Fugues. Many people associate the toccata portion with halloween or the phantom of the opera. While the toccata can be played on the piano, the fugue requires an organ because you need two hands and two feet because it in some sections it features 4 parts playing simultaneously: 3 independent parts shared between 2 hands and 1 part with the feet. This particular performance features a few of my own personal interpretations. For example I took out the double repetition of the second question and answer section between the keyboards as I feel it helps the piece flow better, and at the very end of the fugue layered the opening notes of the toccata which I feel really ties the two movements together.
