A five-seater subcompact crossover/SUV, the Toyota Raize is the Japanese brand's most recent offering. With two engine options—a 1.2-liter normally aspirated engine and a 1.0-liter turbocharged engine—and an angular design appropriate for a sporty crossover, it is available with two different displacements. A handful of the most important Toyota Safety Sense features are also included in the Raize. With 200 mm of ground clearance, it's a crossover perfect for young professionals buying their first car or those seeking a dependable second vehicle.

Four distinct variations of the Toyota Raize were offered at introduction on February 4, 2022. There are two engine options available for the subcompact crossover: a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder engine and a 1.0-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder engine. The latter generates 96 horsepower and 140 Nm of torque, whilst the former generates 86 horsepower and 113 Nm. The crossover comes with a 5-speed manual and a CVT as its two possible gearbox options.

The Toyota Raize is powered by a 1.0-liter turbocharged or 1.2-liter normally aspirated three-cylinder engine. The 1.0-liter motor generates 140 Nm of torque and 96 horsepower, while the 1.2-liter delivers 113 Nm of power. The Raize uses a CVT or a 5-speed manual transmission to deliver power only to the front wheels. It is supported by a torsion beam setup at the back and a MacPherson strut suspension up front. Ventilated discs up front and a leading and trailing drum arrangement at the back provide stopping force.

There are two different infotainment system options for the Toyota Raize: an 8-inch system that comes with a four-speaker sound system and a 9-inch system that comes with a six-speaker system. Additionally, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard on both infotainment systems. Two USB chargers and a 12V auxiliary socket located nearer the front of the crossover are some of its other technological features. Higher-end Raize models are also equipped with automated air conditioning, whereas lower-end ones have digital-manual air conditioning instead.

Exterior
The Toyota Raize has a sharp, SUV-like look with a towering front fascia and halogen or split-type LED headlamp options. All models also include LED daytime running lights as standard equipment, while higher-spec versions include LED sequential turning lights. All variants of the crossover additionally include LED rear combination lights as standard equipment and halogen foglamps. Additionally, depending on the version, the crossover is available with 16- or 17-inch wheels.

Interior
The Toyota Raize's interior is primarily black, with a few silver touches scattered across the dashboard. Higher-end versions can have leather-and-fabric seats, whereas lower-end trim levels just have simple fabric seats. The driver's seat may be manually adjusted six ways on higher versions and four ways on cheaper ones. Only the higher-end models of the car come with a 7-inch TFT digital gauge cluster; the lower models feature segmented gauge clusters.

The Toyota Raize comes equipped as standard with driver and passenger airbags, ABS, hill start assist, reverse sensors, and an immobilizer. Elevated models come equipped with extra side and curtain shield airbags, a rear cross-traffic alert system, an alarm, front and rear sonar clearance, a blind spot monitoring system, and a reverse camera with guidance.
