Angioinvasive Fungus = Dermatopathology Emergency!

Описание к видео Angioinvasive Fungus = Dermatopathology Emergency!

A classic and very sad example of angioinvasive fungal infection forming a necrotic eschar in an immunosuppressed patient. This patient's cultures grew out both Mucor and Aspergillus. This is a very serious medical emergency. This is an excerpt from a Zoom lecture I gave to my awesome UAMS dermatology and pathology residents on March 27, 2020.

A complete organized library of all my videos, digital slides, pics, & sample pathology reports is available here: https://kikoxp.com/posts/5084 (dermpath) & https://kikoxp.com/posts/5083 (bone/soft tissue sarcoma pathology).
