RN Luigi Torelli - Globe Trotting Italian Submarine

Very few Axis warships of the Second World War saw service in other navies. Italian ships were Italian, German were German, and Japanese were Japanese. A small number of them saw new life in the post-war era, but they were in the minority.

During the war, only a few ships swapped navies. And a handful of Italian submarines, including Luigi Torelli- the topic of this video -ended up serving all three navies. Torelli is arguably the mos famous one to do so.

Especially with the (possibly fake) story of downing a B-25, near the end of the war.
