Note From The Front. The Battle of Wizna.

I am a soldier stationed in Wizna, and the battle that erupted in this small village feels like an unending nightmare. Our small group, defending here, is cut off from larger forces. We knew the Germans were numerous and heavily armed, but our patriotism and determination won't let us surrender.

Feelings? Fear and determination mix in my heart. I feel a tremendous responsibility towards my comrades, but at the same time, I'm terrified witnessing the relentless wave of the enemy. You know, the purpose of my life as a soldier is clear - to defend our homeland and protect the people I love. But sometimes, I feel like a small spark facing a powerful inferno of the enemy.

I've been doing my best to be the finest soldier I can be. I try to stay vigilant and brave, but sometimes, my body and mind get exhausted. I managed to coordinate our defensive positions well, but I couldn't prevent the loss of many close friends.

What did I do wrong? Maybe sometimes, I was too impulsive and didn't think my decisions through long enough. I knew the battle was tough, and I had to act quickly, but perhaps my emotions got the best of me at times.

I am proud of my unit and our heroic resistance. Despite all odds, we won't give up. Our courage is our most precious asset, and we won't allow the invaders to trample on us.

The Battle of Wizna is an extraordinary trial for every soldier. I find strength in our unity and the knowledge that we fight for the good of our homeland. Despite the adversities, we will continue the fight, guided by the proud motto: "For our freedom and honor!"
