MINECRAFT BIRTHDAY PARTY 2021 | BAKING AND DECOR | KIDS DRIVE-BY BIRTHDAY PARTY

Hello! My name is Sarah, and I'm a married mom of 3 kids, who works part time. Today's video is a Minecraft Birthday Party prep 2021 including baking and decor! I had a drive-by party for my 8-year old, as we are still in the pandemic, we cannot have a normal party. This was much simpler than a regular birthday party and my son had a blast! I share the decor I got, the preparations I did and the cupcakes I made.

Next video, I'll be sharing the Minecraft cake I made for my son and a simple cake for another family member.

EASY CHOCOLATE CAKE AND CUPCAKES:
Ingredients:
3 cups all purpose flour
2 cups sugar
2/3 cups cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups cold coffee or water
1 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 tablespoons cider vinegar

Directions:
1 - Pre-Heat the over to 350
2 - In large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.
3 - Whisk in coffee/water, oil and vanilla
4 - Stir in vinegar

Cake - baking varies depending on size, for the cake I did, 30-35 minutes
Cupcakes - 20 minutes

CLASSIC BUTTER ICING
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, softened
3 cups Lantec or Rogers Icing Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla extract
2 TBSP milk

Directions:
1. Cream 1/2 cup soft butter with 2 cups of icing sugar
2. beat 1 tsp vanilla, 2tbsp milk and 1 cup icing sugar into mixture
3. gradually add 2 tbsp milk into icing until smooth and of desired spreading consistency
add more milk if icing a cake or if piping, less milk for stiffer icing
