Indian 1st Day in Samarkand | Food of Samarkand | Samarkand facts | Samarkand vlog | Uzbekistan vlog

In my previous video you may have watched how I did hitchhiking from Tashkent to Samarkand . I experience hitchhiking in Uzbekistan is not so hard . The gentleman who helped me has dropped me at the Taxi stand of Samarkand. My all gadgets battery got drained so I find a store nearby where one Uzbek girl helped me in getting my electronics charged .


In this video you will see me trying to go to the Samarkand city centre because I was planning to take the hostel for first time because no one accepted me to host in Samarkand so anyhow I have to take hostel as I also have to fresh n up , didn’t took bath since last night .


In Samarkand 2 Gis didn’t work and without any local navigation app it’s not easy to find a bus for me to go my hostel , so I was depend on Google map which don’t provides proper navigation. And I pinned a bus stand which was around 3.5 kms away from my location.

I walked for around 1 kms in a straight direction of getting a ride which could leave me at Bus stand but I see very few cars are going towards that direction. Finally I got a ride after 25 minutes and I thought the car guy allowed me to drop at bus stand without money but later he told me that he would take money and I was not aware how much he may charge .


As I see very few buses are running on the roads , so I thought it’s better to go more further in my direction, moreover the car guy was also going in same direction when I look at his navigation map . Then from there I find a bus stand after asking from person as you know that I am travelling without SIM card .


I got my first bus ride , without any proper navigation I sit in a bus while using Google map just following the way , even not 1 km in my direction I moved by bus , it took turn in left but I have to go straight. Anyhow after walking a while I found another bus ride . The good thing was that my destination location was straight ahead .

After 2 hours I reached to hostel as Nameer and Hashim bhai was already there living in that hostel . The hostel was very nice . After few moments we all decided to drop Hashim bhai to Samarkand Airport. He booked taxi of 22000 soms / 172₹ ( 14 kms ) .


After dropping me & Nameer went to eat in a Uzbek restaurant . He was looking for spicy Chinese food or trying Indian taste in Samarkand , Uzbekistan so Google shown a restaurant named Alibaba . We got Shawarma filled with egg , carrot , other veggies & some sauces and Samsa .

After trying shawarma , Nameer felt it not spicy which taste he was really looking for . Shawarma 🥙 was for 5000 soms / 36₹ , Samsa for 3000 soms / 22₹ & Fanta 250 ml also for 5000 soms / 36₹ . In Uzbekistan everything is cheap as compared to Uzbekistan.


Then we moved ahead to mobile shop where Nameer want to do recharge his phone . He was problem with his recharge as he already got his mobile recharge but didn’t reflected in his phone . And the wonderful Uzbek guy did mobile recharge and denied for getting paid . Such an amazing country of amazing persons .


Moving on we walked through Punjab street , In Uzbek language it’s Ponjob street we reached to a wine shop where you will get a glimpse of the price of Whiskey. Followed by a visit to nice open restaurant me and Nameer bhai came back to hostel and Nameer left for Dubai for his early morning flight .
