In every believer’s life, there will always be that area where you’ll be tested in waiting. This is the area that unlocks Destiny.

“And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?” Luke 18:7 NKJV

This parable encourages believers to continue in the place of prayer and not give up. God is God. He has to ability to answer speedily yet He also waits for an appointed time to answer. If He doesn't answer speedily, we need to learn to wait on Him in faith.

You see, it's not only about waiting, it's also about your attitude while you wait. Resignation is not waiting. We must keep in the faith while we wait.

When the Son of Man comes, shall he find faith on the earth? (Luke 18:8)

Why does God take us through the process of waiting?
1. To build capacity in us so that we can be able to sustain what He gives us.

God had the ability to get Israel out of Egypt and take them to the Promised Land in one day, but He took them through the wilderness in order to build their capacity. The slavery mentality couldn't take over the Promised Land. God is more interested in the process than the product. What is your attitude during the waiting period? Trust the process of God.

2. God takes us through waiting so He can take our focus off of the promise to Himself.

3. God takes us through waiting in order to glorify His name.

*“When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”” John 11:4 NKJV

Consider Abraham, the father of faith, patiently waited for 25 years to get Isaac at an old age. He did not waver at the promise but kept in reverence towards God (Romans 4:20). Don't waver at the promise. Stay in the faith.
