New York METS at Chicago CUBS 4/4/94 Opening Day Original WGN Broadcast

Opening Day 1994 from Wrigley Field original WGN Broadcast with Harry Caray, Steve Stone and Tom Brennaman and special appearance by the First Lady Hilary Clinton. including joining Harry signing the 7th inning stretch with 'Take me out to the Ballgame'
recorded and Digitalized off a pre recorded VHS tape and converted to DVD and has been recently restored and added to the Phenia Film MLB archival page. Its an amazing 3 Home Run in a opening day game (a hat trick) for Cubs lead off man Karl Tuffy Rhodes hitting all three Homer's off Mets starter Dwight Gooden in the 1st, 3nd, and 5th innings.
Starting pitchers are Doc Gooden vs Mike Morgan in the Cubs home opener at Wrigley, as both starters had problems early on, and despite the 3 HRs from Tuffy Rhodes the Mets manage to keep the lead and stay ahead after scoring 4 runs in the 4th inning with a lead off HR from Jeff Kent and a 2 run Double from Ryan Thompson. Mike Morgan only goes 4innings giving up 6 runs on 6 hits and is replaced by Blaise Ilsley making his MLB debut.
Dwight Gooden has a rough outing only going 5.2 innings giving up 7 runs on 11 hits while striking out 5 and who is replaced by Eric Hillman who manages to get out of the bottom of the sixth as the Mets hang on to the 3 run lead.
John Franco comes in the 9th and after another hit from Tuffy Rhodes (who goes 4 for 4 with 3 HRs, 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored) but Franco works his way out of the ninth inning as Mets another opening day.
