Driving to Upper Manhattan and out to Long Island, New York.

Sunday, May 7th, 2017 - Started out in Hells Kitchen, Manhattan and headed west to merge onto the Westside highway. Exited on 96th st and crossed Central Park into the Upper East Side. Drove up to the 110 st Manhattan Animal Care and Control(animal shelter) to check out the dogs. Made a few trips around the area to find parking. Left the animal shelter and proceeded South on 2nd ave to the Queensboro bridge and crossed over to Long Island City before getting on I495 to Long Island. Got off near Manhasset to check out North Shore Animal Shelter on Lewyt St. Decided to run some errands and take local roads back to NYC. Mainly used the Jericho turnpike/route 25 towards Queens, then back to Manhattan via Long Island Cit and the Queensboro bridge. Sporadic traffic, good weather until slight drizzle towards the end of the drive. Unable to find suitable dog during this trip.
