Catching up on a few of the smaller jobs this week after harvest.

The first job was to make new tops for some subsoiler legs. These were cnc plasma cut from 20mm plate. A 30mm hole was drilled through them for the leg pivot. Weld prep was ground into both the top and bottom parts before welding together.

Second job was breakdown job needing doing straight away. This was a roller from a conveyor that had worn through. The old roller body was cut off. The shaft was put into the lathe and the end/centre plates were turned down allowing it to slide into a new tube. The new tube was smaller because that’s all I had in stock at the time.

Last job was to add 2 more tines into a bale spike. This was done by marking the centre holes, pilot drilling a hole, then using a hole saw to get the right OD of the hole and following that mark with the gas torch to cut the hole out. Done on both sides of the box then welding in the new tine bush.
