This love - what is it that makes Jamie & Claire's love so special? Deep connection, romance, companionship, soulmate, passion, devotion, unconditionality, sacrifice, mutual support and rescue, respect, understanding, sincerity, acceptance and consistency even across time and space.
The song makes it possible to show and portray all of this, including all the obstacles that constantly stand in their way, all the pain and traumatic experiences that nevertheless cannot harm their love.
"This love left a permanent mark, this love is glowing in the dark."✨💖 - For me, there will probably never be another love comparable to that of Jamie & Claire. And no one could have embodied this couple and their love as perfectly as Sam and Caitriona, who, thanks to their chemistry, their bond, their talent and their skills, still enchant and impress me to this day and always transport me to another reality, namely that of Jamie and Claire. The announcement that S8 is coming in early 2026 has made the ending more real for me. I wish I had discovered Outlander earlier, that I could have savored more of those 12 years. Unfortunately, I didn't and so it feels like the end is coming even though it's only just begun.
I'm curious about Blood of my Blood, but it won't be the same for me. Nevertheless, I remain open and hope that the new show will also touch me and inspire my creativity. So it remains to be seen whether there will be videos of me for the spin-off.
