Bottle gourd rice /Suraikkai sadham is an excellent rice recipe. INGREDIENTS:
1 Small Bottle gourd peeled n chopped
1 bowl of cooked rice
2 tsp of oil for temper
¼ tsp of mustard seeds
½ tsp of channa dal
½ tsp of urad dal
2 tbsp of unroasted peanuts
½ tsp of cumin seeds
Garlic cloves 2 finely chopped
2 green chillies slit
Red onion 1 finely chopped
Tomato 2 finely chopped
1 tsp of garam masala powder
¼ tsp of cumin n coriander powder
¼ tsp of turmeric powder
Pinch of Hing powder/Asafoetida
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Salt as required
