Harvesting Alaska's Wild Berries | Homemade Jams and Dessert

Описание к видео Harvesting Alaska's Wild Berries | Homemade Jams and Dessert

It’s berry time in Alaska! Join us on our berry picking adventure. We harvested blueberries (bilberries), watermelon berries, and red currants, but that’s not all we found! We even came across crowberries, cloudberries, and black currants. As Summer comes to an end, it will be exciting to see what additional berries we will have on our property. We made some amazing jams and a delicious blueberry dessert!

Thank you for following along with our adventure and supporting our channel!

Watermelon Berry Jam Recipe:
10 Cups of Watermelon Berries
1 Cup of Water
5 Cups of Sugar
5 TBSP Lemon Juice
3.5 Packs of Sure Jell Pectin (I ended up adding 1 additional pack to thicken)

Heat Watermelon berries and water until boiling. Turn down to a simmer and reduce down to 50% (30-40 minutes). We placed jars in the freezer.
