In Sept 2020, CL:AIRE published new professional guidance on using statistics when comparing soil contamination data with a critical concentration. The new guidance is heavily influenced by 2 statements published by the ASA (American Statistical Association) in 2016 & 2019 which seek to "move to a world beyond P less than 0.05" and this presentation which explain how statistics should be used to supplement practitioners judgement, not replace it.

The webinar will be delivered by Nigel Marriott, an Independent Statistician based in Bath providing consultancy and training services to non-statisticians in all industries. His career spans 30 years in many fields but the common denominator has been his ability to demystify stats for clients who need to use stats but don't have the expertise. He is an active member of the Royal Statistical Society and blogs regularly on issues in the public domain which involves stats.
