Betty's Visit to Sanders Cafe--the First KFC!--NO RECIPE--

Betty and her husband, Rick, visit Sanders Cafe, the first and original KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) restaurant! The restaurant is located in Corbin, Kentucky--about 60 miles south of our home in Richmond, Kentucky. The restaurant was established by Colonel Harland Sanders, who developed a recipe for Kentucky Fried Chicken, using 11 herbs and spices and a method of using a pressure cooker to fry the chicken quickly, retaining its moisture. The Colonel began his Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise at age 65, using his first social security check of $105, and sold the franchise in 1964 for $2 million. It later became known as KFC, which currently has fast-food restaurants worldwide. In this video, I show you the restaurant, which includes a small museum.
