The narcissist targeted you because they perceived you as weak. You approached situations with calm, perhaps even excessive generosity, extending trust freely. You laid bare your soul, vulnerable and open. In return, your attacker struck. Not because you posed a threat, but because they misinterpreted your silence as submission, kindness as fragility, and patience as passivity. This misjudgment, however, was their gravest error.

There's a significant danger in harming someone who hasn't revealed their full capabilities. Just as you can't discern a storm's magnitude until it swells, your aggressor failed to grasp your true potential. They attacked without calculating the cost, provoking a seemingly dormant lion, unaware that your shadows were preparation, not fear.

When someone repeatedly targets you, it reveals more about their character than yours. Such actions are often a confession of their own insecurity. They hoped your inner light would dim under enough shadows. Unable to tolerate your potential, they tried to crush it prematurely. They recognized the seeds of your greatness before you did, aiming to uproot them. Yet, in their misguided efforts, they inadvertently created pressure.

Pressure transforms; it either shatters individuals or forges diamonds. You did not shatter. You may have bent and developed cracks, but these cracks became conduits for light. Every insult, betrayal, and underhanded maneuver became a valuable lesson, not a loss. They gave you experience, clarity, and taught you whom not to trust. In their relentless pursuit to harm you, they accomplished something else: they compelled you to awaken.

You were forced to confront your boundaries, declare "enough is enough," cease people-pleasing, and stop diminishing yourself. You began to hold your head high, value your time, and speak less but convey more. You shed the burden of others' expectations. Most terrifyingly for your aggressor, you began to transform.

The moment you stopped engaging in the manipulator’s game was when they lost control. They needed you to remain silent, to remain small. But when you rose, when you began to advance without their permission, the power dynamics shifted. You were no longer just reacting; you were actively building yourself. And once an individual embarks on self-construction, they become formidable—uncontrollable.
