This is a beginner video for those who just got an espresso machine. Choosing a pressurized (dual wall) vs non-pressurized (single wall) filter basket depends on your espresso skill. A pressurized basket is easier and FAR more forgiving, BUT the ceiling is limited. Meanwhile, the non-pressurized unlocks much more complex shots, but it’s not as easy to dial in.

There’s nothing wrong with starting on a pressurized basket. Eventually, learning the non-pressurized is a game changer.
