Onions are part of the Allium family that includes shallots, leeks, and garlic. These are great at fighting chronic inflammation. Arthritis is primarily driven by inflammation and can cause irritation in our joints when it is present in our bodies. Adding any of these food groups to your diet can make a big difference in keeping your inflammation levels down, and thus your pain! What you eat can dramatically impact your levels of inflammation, especially if you have arthritis so it is important to keep it controlled.
