Fishing Otter Creek Reservoir, Late Summer (Mid September), Utah

Since our last trip to Otter Creek in July, an angler caught a twelve pound Rainbow Trout! We decided we had to return and make a solid attempt at trying to land a big Bow. Instead of using bait, we figured trolling would be the best method since we could cover a lot of water...and we did just that.
We trolled Shad Raps at a slow speed ( 2 mph) and worked South to North and back, sometimes in the middle and sometimes closer to shore. We stuck at it for seven hours and had some luck. This was definitely a quality over quantity trip. Jen landed a beautiful 20 inch Bow which was the largest of the day! I had plenty of strikes but just couldn't connect, that's fishing for ya!
The day we fished an angler caught a twelve pound Wiper that morning off of power bait! Otter Creek has some big ones in it! Can't wait to return and try for more large fish!!
