Deventer

Deventer. Een van de belangrijkste Hanzesteden aan de IJssel. Een fantastische oude binnenstad, mooie pleinen, een markant stadsgezicht aan de IJssel en nog veel meer dat de moeite waard is om te aanschouwen. De Brink is het dynamische hart van de stad. Een groot plein met veel aardige terrassen met voor elk wat wils. De enorme Lebuinuskerk en het nieuwe stadhuis zijn geweldige voorbeelden van oude en moderne architectuur. En dan nog de diverse musea en theaters. En dan ook nog de oversteek over de IJssel met het het elektrisch aangedreven pontje van Deventer.
Al met al een stad, waar je eigenlijk veel meer tijd moet doorbrengen dan wij konden doen op 23 juni 2024.

Deventer. One of the most important Hanseatic cities on the IJssel. A fantastic old city center, beautiful squares, a striking cityscape on the IJssel and much more that is worth seeing. De Brink is the dynamic heart of the city. A large square with many nice terraces with something for everyone. The enormous Lebuinus Church and the new town hall are great examples of old and modern architecture. And then there are the various museums and theaters. And then also the crossing over the IJssel with the electrically powered ferry from Deventer.
All in all, a city where you should actually spend much more time than we could do on June 23, 2024.
