The Temptations - Motown Medley on The Ed Sullivan Show

On January 31, 1971, The Tempts were on The Ed Sullivan show, marking their last appearance on the show. They sang a medley of Motown hits, as well as closing the show with their latest hit at the time, "Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me)."

Not only was it the last time The Temptations would perform on The Ed Sullivan Show, it was also the last television appearance of founding members Paul Williams and Eddie Kendricks. Eddie would play his final concert with The Tempts in April 1971, leaving to launch his solo career, while Paul would leave later on in August 1971 due to his doctor ordering him to retire from performing live with The Temptations.
