Mitsu is the International Business Development Officer at the Portland Development Commission leading the export development as well as Foreign Direct Investment recruitment efforts for the City of Portland. He has been the lead for We Build Green Cities initiative to help building more sustainable cities in Japan.

Prior to PDC, Mitsu has gained unique experience as a strategy consultant, an executive at a regional economic development agency as well as a business development manager for an international construction/engineering firm throughout the United States.

Born and raised in the Tokyo metro, he has been living in the U.S. for the past 20 years. He currently lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife Takiko, a daughter Mana and a son, Kousuke.
