HEAVY RAIN Car Camping with my DOG - could this be the ultimate shelter?

Car camping in a heavy downpour of rain. I head out overnight, with my dog Indi, to test out my newly purchased DoD Outdoors Base Camp Awning Tent - Light. Setting up on my own in heavy rain was challenging but once the shelter was up I had an incredibly cosy space in which to enjoy the sound of the rain on the tent. I camped overnight listening to the rain on the roof of the car. On this trip I take the opportunity to go on a small hike up a nearby hill to enjoy the peacefulness of the sunset during a break in the rain.
