Dangerous & risky Shiradi Ghat bus journey by Durgamba Motors Volvo bus | Bangalore to Mangalore

One of the most dangerous ghats bus journey. The Shiradi ghat has been under construction since a long time but most of it is still very risky to drive, especially for cars. Even Volvo buses struggle in this road due to the lower floor. The ghat has become very risky due to the huge craters and potholes due to the rains. The road has just become worst.

I was traveling by Durgamba motors Volvo B9R manual bus and even the bus driver was tired of the route. You really need patience and skill to drive on this road.

My bus is a 10 pm bus from Sheshadrinagar and reached Lalbagh at 6 am the next day. Only two private operators are operating Volvo buses on this route. First is VRL Sleeper B9R and Durgamba motors Volvo B9R semi sleeper bus. The bus was very comfortable and blankets were also provided for the journey. The driver Chandra anna has been driving for Durgamba since 30 years, so a highly experienced driver.
