There’s arrogant and then there’s the Warwickshire Hunt. Even after they knew Channel 4 News would be running a story about them and their anti-social behaviour they still carried on. They’ve had plenty of warnings about their behaviour in the form of a CPW, a CPN and plenty of local media coverage so they only have themselves to blame for the damning segments on Channel 4. Of course they have nothing to fear as they know that Warwickshire Police will not do anything to curb their behaviour.

Hunting on and next to the busy Fosse Way the hounds ended up rampaging through a member of the public's garden. Apparently this is not the first time this has happened, as can be heard in the footage the landowner has reported the hunt numerous times in the past and nothing seems to have been done. Other members of the public called the police about this incident but Warwickshire Police failed to attend. A Community Protection Notice as the name suggests protects the community from anti-social behavour. The fact Warwickshire Police gave the Warwickshire Hunt a way to avoid due process with the secret deal shows they do not care about protecting the community from the Warwickshire Hunt’s behavoiur. A fact only cemented by their failure to attend to deal with this incident and by deliberatly adding blocks and making it diificult for thoses witnessing this behaviour to actually submit the evidence by passing responsiblity around to different deparments within the police. The Warwickshire Hunt know they can carry on doing what they like, their response to the hounds rampaginmg through a member of the publics garden? The whipper-in was laughing and had a big grin on his face throughout the incident.

With the Police and Crime Commissioner elections coming up in May the current holder of that post, Philip Seccombe, needs to be voted out and replaced by someone who’s unbiased and willing to hold the Chief Constable to account. Someone who if necessary would be willing to remove the Chief Constable from her post and appoint a senior team with a bit more of a backbone.
