Today I’m visiting the iconic Fantasy Island filming location at the Los Angeles County Arboretum in Arcadia, California — home to the historic Queen Anne Cottage that stood in as Mr. Roarke’s island estate.

This Victorian beauty is well over 100 years old and sits beside Baldwin Lake (currently looking more like a putting green than a lake thanks to duckweed and algae!). From the famous bell tower to the forest of Washingtonia robusta palms that framed the show, this place is pure television nostalgia.

But since I'm also shooting for my Jungleland805 channe, we’re not just here for TV history…

We explore:
🌴 Mexican fan palms (Washingtonia robusta)
🌿 Giant bamboo
🌺 Dendrobium orchids
🌸 Anthuriums & heliconia
🌴 The leafless bird of paradise (Strelitzia juncea)
🦚 Peacocks roaming the grounds

After the arboretum walk, we make a tropical pit stop at Islands for a mini tiki cocktail taste test — including a Mai Tai, Shipwreck, and more — surrounded by classic Oceanic Arts décor.
