This is love poetry in Urdu and Hindi.

This Urdu Shayari is translated in English by one of a brilliant and DEAR FRIEND of mine --Paavani Singh.
The words for this poem came to me when I was on a two-day train journey from Bihar to Chennai. I had enough time to gaze at the mountains, the vast fields, and small fountains along the railway tracks that we passed as we crossed through the jungles of Chattisgarh. I witnessed the changing landscape of Bihar, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. At night I could feel the fresh breeze against my body and would often look up to see the moon and the innumerable stars illuminating the night sky.No wonder this Shayari consists of metaphors like the Sun, Moon, Wind, dewdrops, sand. It was an infusion of these elements that brought forth the memory of a love long lost. Perhaps, this is how this piece of Shayari/poetry was conceived.
