Is Ibanez Still KING of the TS? - Ibanez Tubescreamer Mini - No Talk, All Tone

Описание к видео Is Ibanez Still KING of the TS? - Ibanez Tubescreamer Mini - No Talk, All Tone

Has this KING of the OVERDRIVE been knocked off it's top spot or is it still God Tier? Dip into this video where we put this mini version of the classic pedal through it's paces and search for all of the tones it can make!

Today on NTAT, we take a look at one of the newest versions of an iconic pedal: the Ibanez Tubescreamer Mini. This is essentially the same as a TS9 in terms of the circuit, but obviously with a much smaller footprint. as well as this, they are pretty damn affordable with this exact one being picked up used for around £35. The tubescreamer is such a fantastic circuit as it can work really well as a boost, a breaking up tube-like crunch, a rhythm tone or even when coupled up with another drive, a searing lead tone. It can also be used to tighten up more extreme gain sounds, in an almost EQ sense, so there is very little that this pedal can't do. The mini enclosure phase has really seen it's peak, so I won't suggets that the mini form factor is anything game-changing, but for cramped pedalboards, this could be just what is needed. Take a listen to those tones yourself and, chances are, you'll be able to easily imagine where you could use it in your own rig. There are so many screamer style circuits on the market and it is likely to be the most copied circuit currently, but that is for good reason. If you are in the market for a Tubescreamer circuit, this is a great, solid option.

If you like these reviews and demos, don't forget to drop me a comment and let me know. By dropping a comment there, you will please the algorithm gods and make my videos more visible, which would be awesome. If you have one of these yourself, let me know how you are getting on with it yourself in a comment or a video response, I'd love to hear how it is getting on in your rig through different amps and guitars.

The demo gear in this video is all run through Practical Patch cables, including instrument cables and patch cables. These are using some top-quality components, including Neutrik jacks and Van Damme cable and are hand-assembled and tested in the UK. After having off-the-shelf cables for years and suffering failures again and again, I bought some Practical Patch cables and have been happier than ever with them. They also don’t cost you the Earth, which some other hand made cable companies seem to do. If you want to find out more, head over to www.practicalpatch.co.uk to see what they have to offer.
