Long, long ago, fence rails had character. Each hand split rail was a reflection of the man who made it, the tools he used, and the land from which it came. Those days are long gone, of course.

In this series, I am attempting to recapture that lost spirit of individuality that has disappeared under the harsh reality of mass production.
