Abed Hakmi - Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade)

Abed Hakmi joined the Australian Trade & Investment Commission (Austrade) in Oct 2014 as a Senior Resources and Energy Manger. Mr. Hakmi plays a key role in developing trade relation between Australia and KSA as well as supporting Australian firms to develop business in Saudi Arabia (KSA) mainly in the Mining Sector.

In addition, the position assists in promoting investment opportunities in both Australia and KSA and enhance relationships with key public and private organisations in the mining sector in both Australia and the MENA region.

Prior to joining Austrade, Mr. Hakmi was as the Head of Internal Control for the Oil & Gas company Total E&P. Mr. Hakmi has a BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration/Finance) from the University of Texas at Arlington.
