2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift vs Hyundai Elite i20 Comparison | Review | autoX

We put the all new Maruti Suzuki Swift against the newly updated Hyundai Elite i20 through their paces to find out which of these two recently launched hatchbacks is better.

The Maruti Suzuki Swift which we tested was the diesel automatic with Maruti's AGS AMT automatic gearbox which comes in only up to the ZDi trim. While Maruti does offer more features with the new swift like a touchscreen infotainment scree with reversing camera with the Zdi+ trim option, it is not offered with a automatic transmissions in both petrol or diesel forms. The Hyundai Elite i20 on the other hand was the 1.4-litre turbo diesel variant which comes with a 6-speed manual transmission. The trim option on test was the top of the line Asta (O) which comes equipped with a total of six airbags.
