Mimi Hines - Who Are You Now? - Then & Now . . .

Mimi Hines at the top of her form. The only other person to play Fanny Brice in Funny Girl on Broadway besides Barbra Streisand. Mimi filled Streisand's very large shoes when she left the show and kept it running over a year on pure talent. Here she sings one of the best songs in the production, unfortunately - and foolishly, cut from the film, Who Are You Now? Seen is Mimi during the show's run on live television, cut with Mimi 40 years later singing beautifully. The current Mimi's reading is richer and deeper - and the young Mimi is brilliant and perfect.
