EXTREMELY RAW Tribute to Legendary Singing Teacher Joan Kobin created by Rick McKay when he was first beginning to experiment with video before working in the film industry. Created with a hi 8 camera and two VCR's and many of Joan's legendary students and friends, including Jane Powell, Barbara Cook, Daniel Massey, Farley Granger, Wally Harper, Lorna Luft, Lorna Dallas, Jane Summerhays, Tovah Feldshuh, Donald Pippin, and others. This was what would eventually lead to the "Broadway: The Golden Age" film trilogy as well as McKay's other film work. Joan Kobin also worked with singers such as Liza Minnelli, Angela Lansbury, Van Johnson, Robert Stack, and numerous other Broadway and Hollywood luminaries. She was beloved by her students and had a huge impact on their lives and careers. The completed documentary will appear on McKay's Broadway: BEYOND the Golden Age film's DVD release as a bonus feature.
