(LYRICS, TRANSLATION & VIDEO) I have compiled the video to suit the melody on my favourite couple Madhubala and Dilip Kumar by borrowing clips from the movie Tarana - 1951
This is another video compilation on a GEM from Lata Ji's Shraddhanjali - a tribute to great singers of the past. The original song was sung and composed by the great person of his time Pankaj Mullick beautifully penned by Fayyaz Hashmi. Thanks to Lata ji who has revived the beauty of the song.
A legend, an icon, an inspiration, Pankaj Mullick will always be remembered for the songs that K.L. Saigal, S.D. Burman, Kanan Devi, Geeta Dutt, Asha Bhosle and Hemanta Mukherjee sang under his music direction. A part of New Theatres for around a quarter of a decade and Indian cinema for close to 40 years, he worked in Bengali, Hindi, Urdu and Tamil films.
