If you want to grow + shape your BOOTY/ BODY, its extremely important to activate EVERY MUSCLE FIBRE by increasing your mind to muscle connection. A good question is always: when doing squats - does your BOOTY burn or do you only feel your THIGHS and LEGS?

Those compound exercises are amazing to target all your muscles in your lower body including your glutes. To get the best results adding a resistance band / booty band around my thighs can really help connect your mind to the working muscle. It forces the sides of your bum to work even harder & reminds you every second of the workout to engage your booty properly!

You can perform these exercise with any strength resistance band depending on your level.

You can do this routine at home or BEFORE you have a leg day with weights. Also for heavy squats, deadlifts, etc... make sure you do a booty activation session beforehand, so you hit the muscles in the right way.

1. Training legs is a lot about the mind-muscle connection. Always try to THINK about the muscle YOU want to work on (e.g. booty) and concentrate 100% on using this exact muscle when performing a movement.

You can do a squat without thinking about anything .. but you can also do a squat, pushing through your heel, pushing your knees outwards, using the strength of your butt on the way up & finally: SQUEEZE the butt cheeks at the top position.

2. For all Squats: make sure to always push through your HEELS (back of your feet) on your way up. This puts more focus on the booty.

3. Also try to keep your knees behind your toes when you squat down. This is more friendly for the knee joint ( THIS DEPENDS ON YOUR STRUCTURE AND WHAT WORKS FOR YOU BUT JUST BE MINDFUL OF YOUR TECHNIQUE AND HOW IT FEELS )

If you need more breaks - TAKE THEM! Don't worry too much about that. You will improve over time :) that's the best feeling!

iGYM recommend switching up your workouts to give your muscles enough time to recover and to hit them from different angles. What we mean is it is best to progressively overload, meaning doing the same workout every day won't be any benefit or make you grow quicker! your body needs time to recover.
