Botch Drumcam Multicam Boston, MA @ Roadrunner Oma and Worker Bees

First, I want to thank Justin Nace again. He is responsible for the footage in Oma that's shot from my left, it was really kind of him to shoot some footage and I think it fits well with the other footage. Plus, he's a stand up dude, an awesome drummer and an excellent drum tech. Good dude. Thanks, Justin!!

This is the show we were all anxiously awaiting, as we knew this would be the biggest of this tour and we were playing with bands we'd played with 20+ years earlier.

We had a day off after Philly and the bus drove us up near the club to a hotel they use frequently for bands. Most of us started the day with a walk to a nearby bagel shop, then folks spread out to do their own thing. I had a hotel room for the next two nights as my wife was driving down from Maine after her workweek and my 11yo daughter was flying across the country on her own and meeting up with us in the late evening.

I was feeling incredibly ill the night before and the day of the show, so bad at one point I was a bit scared we'd need to cancel. Luckily, a few hours after getting to the venue, my symptoms subsided and didn't reappear. It was scary though.

Roadrunner is an immense club. The hallways in the backstage area are many and we had multiple backstage rooms, which was novel. The stage is huge and there are so many little nooks throughout it and the entire venue that it it felt like a weird maze.

I doubt I'd need to note, but Cave In and Converge were both on this bill (and the following night in NJ) and they both absolutely rocked. I watched a few songs of each band from the stage right balcony and had a great view to see them absolutely entertain the crowd and the crowd lose their shit.

The set in Boston was super fun. I made a HUGE mistake (not in this video) at the end of St. Matthew that had everyone looking at me trying to figure out how to get us back to the same spot. It was...awful...Mistakes happen, even with hundreds of repetitions of a given song. Some day I'll post that, but I'm honestly still a bit horrified to listen back to just how messed up it was. Some day...
