Yep my audiences. It finally happened on the last weekend of October of 2023. I really needed a break and knew in advance that 1309 would be on the rails that day, hence why I drove from Altoona to Cumberland to go meet and film the Mallet as it traversed the Alleghanies with ease. Stops included Helmstetter's curve and a few others in both directions. I didn't get too much because I was unfamiliar with the area. Not to mention the internet is terrible here, so you really have to get google maps open in advance before you descend into the mountains. This is easily the best train spotting day I've had in my life! I hope this isn't the last time I see Cheasapeake and Ohio 1309, and all of this has inspired some interest of the railroad itself within me.
